do YOU have a memory problem? i asked you what you believed before i even said that. way to be selective.
archaic : have the ability to
perhaps i should have used might.

Ah yes, we all use archaic variants here. My bad for reading and understanding exactly what you wrote.

So what you were apparently asking was far, far worse. You wanted me to assess your crackpotedness? Why is that? And what does any of this have to do with the topic?

I think it's possible to be a scientist AND believe in God/mysticism.  Scientists are just like any other group of people, some are more open minded than others.  I also think people place too much value on electronic crap.  Computers, cell phones, etc. can be useful but they don't solve any social problems.

Well, someone can apply the scientific method to their work and not their personal life. In fact scientists rarely do imo. They are as emotionally inept as the population at large.

Every single convenience and appliance that you use to make your life easier from cars to cell phones has come about from some scientist/engineer pushing the envelop of what was formerly thought possible.

Seems the only idiots who call scientists close-minded are those who have had their pet theory/claim rebuked/rejected. Some would even have you believe that the millions of scientist worldwide have some regular secret meeting wherein they best decide how to make paranormalists and others crackpots look foolish.

Nope, no help needed.

Working in science is probably the most philosophical job one can have. These guys went straight for the answers, not just philosophizing.

Scientists are people like the rest of us and are prone believing shit and be close minded as the rest.

Though it is perhaps not very common since critical thinking and shit is a big part of it, but being capable of critical thinking does not necessary spans over own believes and own purpose in life.

Any person that spent the whole life trying to prove something will be close minded when someone tries to explain that he can throw everything out of the window.

I know personally a damn good Computer Scientist (my teacher) that is highly regarded on internationally but when you ask him what he thinks about machine learning and similar techniques he will argue that it is just a joke and only is a substitution for people that can not make real algorithms to solve the problem e.t.c. he simply does't believe in that.

I have seen documentaries when scientist deny what other scientist do because it contradicts what they are doing e.t.c.

Sure such things get resolved eventually one way or another, but don't generalize and make scientists to some super humans that do not have same emotion of unwillingness to be defeated in their own field.
