For Christmas this year, I'm trying to build up my list of books.
Here's a few I want to get (pertaining to entheogens)
Terence Mckenna:
The Archaic Revival Speculations on Psychedelic Mushrooms, the Amazon, Virtual Reality, UFOs, Evolution, Shamanism, the Rebirth of the Goddess, and the End of History
Food of the Gods: The Search for the Original Tree of Knowledge - A Radical History of Plants, Drugs, and Human Evolution
True Hallucinations: Being an Account of the Author’s Extraordinary Adventures in the Devil’s Paradise
Food of the Gods: A Radical History of Plants, Drugs, and Human Evolution
The Evolutionary Mind: Trialogues on Science, Spirit & Psychedelics
Chaos, Creativity, and Cosmic Consciousness
Daniel Pinchbeck:
Breaking Open the Head: A Psychedelic Journey into the Heart of Contemporary Shamanism
2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl
Toward 2012: Perspectives on the Next Age
2012: Biography of a Time Traveler: The Journey of Jose Arguelles
Reality 2.0 Shamans, Psychedelics, Next Step Evolution
John Allegro: The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross
What other books do you think would be good reads that deal with the psychedelic experience or shamanism or indigenous cultures or spirituality or w/e?

I am a strange loop By Douglas Hofstader.
Any book by Credo Mutwa. He is a Zulu sangoma/sangria. He has oral history that will blow your mind. The most incredible stories of man coming from the stars and the cosmos. I believe that the oral tradition that was passed down to Credo Mutwa is immensly rooted in mushroom experiences or other plant teachers. Very intersting stuff. Not directly related to the psychedelic experience but an interesting read that I have found;. I could give you more direct titles if you are interested.

Just tell me any book you think would be interesting, along with a little backgroung information.
I'm up for reading anything, honestly. I like reading something that I can call beneficial to my day-to-day

James Oroc - Tryptamine Palace. About 5-MeO-DMT
Dr. Rick Strassman - DMT: The Spirit Molecule. The first American clinical psychedelic trials in decades were conducted in the 1990s by Strassman with IV doses of pure N,N-DMT.
Auldous Huxley - The Doors of Perception. A classic.
Dr. Stanislav Grof - LSD: Doorway to the Numinous. While cult heroes like Leary prophecized about drugs, legitimate scientists like Grof have steadily researched psychedelics for decades and quietly published their findings.
Alexander Shulgin - Pihkal and Tihkhal. The man responsible for the synthesis and distribution of most major research chemicals documents his chemical journey.

Not 100% related to psychedelics (although there are quite a few very interesting articles on them), check out DARKLORE vol. 1, 2 and 3.
Amazingly interesting books.

Huxleys' work is brilliant. A must-have.
I'll check out Dr. Stanislav Grof - seems interesting.
