First run from a noob looking for feedback and pointers

This is my first try at this after reading and doing research, so not sure if this is good bad or OK. Any pointers would be great. Also think I will be going with the shotgun method for fruiting.
These are after 12 days at 84-86F. Just straight up Ver. and rice flour. I had gotten 3 different syringes from an online supplier and 2 out of the 3 were bunk I guess since there is nothing in the other 2 sets of jars .

Those look really good. just wait it out and follow the TEK. Your temps might be a little high but if it is working for you then. I think a lot of folks just incubate at normal room temperatures but like I said, if it's not broke, don't fix it. You have some really rhizomorphic growth. Good work and good luck.

Congratulations, you have a very rhizomorphic bunch of mycelium there. That means you should have thorough fruiting.
Is there discoloration in there? Your mycelium should be pure white and from my end of the internet it doesn't seem that way. There appears to be some green mold towards the bottom of the jar.
Either way, good luck and, for the record, I envy how rhizomorphic your veggies are. For curiosity's sake, what strain are those?

Looks good, nice rhizomorphic mycelium, maybe a bit too much on the 2nd pic, looks like it's stretching to find water.

They look good. I see a slight tinge of pink in that first picture but I think that may just be lighting. Your incubation temps are too high, IMO. And remember it is a couple of degrees warmer in the jar too. Colonization speed peaks in the 75F to 81F range, and falls off dramatically above 83F....Roger Rabbit.
Search colonization tempurature on the forum. Room temp is fine. These look good, is that pink just a trick of the light? Do they look pure white?
Don't give up on those other jars, the temp may have stalled them and they might surprise you and pop.
I made an incubator one time against all good advise, let the temp get up in the 90's by accident... although that's not thermal death for mycellium they evidently didn't like it. I cooled them off and kept track of them. I remember I wrote in my log, "day 28, four jars and no go." So, I made up some new jars but ended up birthing the no go jars along with them and they were fine. But they took almost two months!
All kinds of strange things happen while you're learning I guess. Did you get your syringes from one of the sponsors here? I've heard nothing but good things about them, so give those jars another chance, but cool them off. Good luck!

The strain is Cambodian. The pics came from my iphone so might not be that great, I don't see anything bad yet I will keep pics updated.
I mixed the cake medium with 3/4c vir. 1/4c flour 1/4c water
When I started the process I was under the impression that the temps were supposed to be 76-86 for the cakes and around 76 for fruiting.

It's just that there is some outdated advice on the boards. Normal room temp is best unless you live in an igloo or a sauna.

so are we saying that normal room temp is around 75 or so? If these are almost full and have only been in for 10 days is that bad?

So should I finish out the batch at this temp and just see if its ok and lower for the next, to keep track of the growth by day? Also is the dunk and roll ok to do in the open air over the sink?

yea, you can leave the temp up or turn it down, they should be fine either way, i would turn it down tho, cause cakes make internal heat
i dunk in a bleach-cleaned bucket, then roll /w verm in open air, in my moldy bathroom, and i never get contams
before you roll them, rinse them off with tap water, i think the clorine helps kill contams that may have landed on the surface

Thanks for the run through. I lowered the temp down to about 80. All three look really white. I am just waiting a few more days to make sure they are ready to go. I also put a pic of the other way i'm trying and seems to be ok also.

Is that a half pint grain jar on the bottom pic? How long has that one been colonising? Yesterday I did some grains, in one pint jars. I didn't have any quart jars so it was better than nothing.
