And this is just a nice picture from West Seattle after a fine day of hunting
Found only one small patch of 4-5 medium sized cyans, but didn't take pictures because there were lots of people watching me so I just grabbed 'em and took off. Hunting in seattle is very competitive...I see more people walking around in bushes looking at the ground than I see people out walking their dogs.
I like that pic of the gallerinas (or whatever they are).. if only!
I should take a picture of a spot I found a few weeks ago.... its like the temple of the shrooms.. an acre filled with aged hardwood chips and bark, covered in mushrooms.. not a one being a cyan.... but an amazing site none the less.
A tad bit north of Seattle, found a place covered in gallerinas.. and I suspect at one point there were a few (maybe many) cyans.. but the footprints and vegetation destruction show it to be well trampled..
I too have seen people out on the hunt.. I haven't had the ballz to say "high, how's your luck?". I look pretty straight, maybe even cop like.. I could see it freaking someone out.. as it would me maybe! If only....
There's one spot in West Seattle on a very major thorofare which has ample alder chips, but new and fresh. You see people stopping every few minutes, run up to the chips.. stare.. find nothing and run back. Pretty comical really!
I do find it very cool to know that there are so many people reaching a new perspective.. and a new dimension. I think this is a positive societal thing...those who search only for a buzz will never know...
Maybe I'll see you out there Bitchcakes! We need some sort of Three Stooges signal so I know its you!
PS The other pic was awesome too.. Over the last few days, even when I've found nothing its been such a gift just to be out, feeling the sun (or rain) and just enjoying the outdoors. What a hobby!!
