Specimens covered by a thick gelatinous, blue-greenish pellicle
    #11442115 - 11/12/09 04:19 PM (14 years, 4 months ago)

Found : 13 nov 2009 , Central Europe, Romania

Habitat:
Forest edge, between small grass/leaves/very young trees

Stem:
Length 5-10 cm, diameter ~4mm color, Hollow, slightly thick alt bottom

Cap:
Diameter 2-5 cm,

Bruising:
When found, the cap and the stem were already staining a blue-greenish color.

It rained a lot in the last 7 days.

Because of the blue-greenish staining and the gelatinous pellicle, I assume that this is a psilocybin-producing species but i cannot figure it out what genus/species is it.

Some Stropharias are naturally blue.

And some Inocybes and others are naturally slimey.

Looks like Stropharia aeruginosa to me.

It seems they were Stropharia cyanea, I later found some Stropharia aeruginosa too :

I can confirm they are not active.

I will confess something that should be quite obvious, CC.  I love mushrooms, i.e. fungi.  I really do.  I am talking about a strong feeling, i.e. emotion, for them.  I think they are beautiful.  I even dream of them.

Yes, I ate about 20 of them, dried. These European stropharias are edible, it is said that they taste quite good without that gelatinous film.

No adverse side-effects? What did they taste like?

No side effects. I can not pronounce on the taste, it was common for me.
