hello, I just placed some cultivated micelium from one jar to more sterile new jars, to double the amount...2 weeks passed in the incubator at 30C and nothing happened- those white micelium peaces haven't started to take over to colonize the jars? could it be that the micelium from the first jar can be over kept in incubator? many thanks

There's so many possible reasons, you need to give us more info...might be too dry, water content, bad mix, etc etc.

mycelium |mʌɪˌsiːlɪəm| noun ( pl. -lia |-lɪə|) Botany the vegetative part of a fungus, consisting of a network of fine white filaments (hyphae).
mix is rye. they were sterilized and the content of water ok, I think, as jars has those water drops condensate inside sometimes...
I went through the process when braking previous cake and dividing a peaces into new sterile jars...

It sounds like you cooked your master jar. 30C is too hot. Consider 25C maximum temp. Higher temps stimulate bacteria, and that's probably the reason your mycelium didn't take off. Two weeks after grain to grain, the second jar should have been fully colonized. RR

Well that old info. 60-75F is fine for incubation. The higher the temps the greater the contam rate

but there is no sign of contam ether...just micelium is not spreading in the jar... can it be that micelium used was over-kept in the incubator? :|
