i just got back from the theater. the place was so full we had to sit pretty close. which made some of the action sequences way too blurry, and hard to comprehend. I'm sure if i didn't have to turn my head to see the other half of the screen, it would've been tight. But still, the movie was Reaally good. everything seemed bigger and better. Gollum was great! amazing animation, and skin textures. Some funny parts too. I'm sure i'll see it again next week

Yeah. I was impressed by the first one. But I didn't like how fast the battle scenes in the dwarves' mine (can't remember the name of it now) went. Gandalf and the large opponent. It was cool but... I don't know. Or Saruman and Gandalf, that was cool but... I don't know. I saw it in a theater with bad sound and the film was getting worn. Also the last battle between the party and the orcs could have been better. Ebert gave The Two Towers 3 stars. He said it has more action than The Fellowship did. That being said, I read the books and I was impressed overall with the effort so far.

I saw it today, and will only say that if you liked the first one, you'll dig this one too.

Oh I'll also say the sound production and the soundtrack are both spectacular

I thought it was great.

I was amazed at how they did it all, or rather the fact that they did it.

The only thing I didn't like was the orcs in the battle- they didn't seem all that powerful. And when the king and all busted out of the castle riding horses and knocking all the orcs out of the way- the orcs just fell, looked really bad...but I guess it would be hard to make it look good considering all the orcs were CGI.

It was great, although two things slightly annoyed me:

1. The kid sitting next to me talked for the entire film. I felt like tapping him on the shoulder and just saying "Shut the fuck up" but his dad was there and he was pretty big.

2. There was a few cheesy lines in there that ruined it a bit. I expect that kind of thing from Star Wars but not lord of the rings.

Brilliant film though.

Great movie, from a great series. Though when I saw it, the theater was filled with whiney babies and kids who laughed every time they saw Gollum.

I liked it better than the first one, and the length wasn't bad it went smoother than the first one which seemed longer. The end battle scene was great too. But THose tree guys(ents I think) were hands down the coolest part of this movie by far.
