I think thats a fair price TBH. I spoke to them a while back and once recently, Im waiting on a quote for a 1X2 and 2X2 HEPA cassette which they suggested to me for flowhoods. I will be using these guys when Im ready
http://www.airclean.co.uk/1513_HEPA_Cassette_Filters.htm
They will cost more no doubt, Id pay the extra for the sealed cassette as you dont have to build a box, just link up the HEPA, fan and prefilter.
One of their standard models is a 3X4 with a fan box for £1000, all you need is the fan.

Ahh interesting, thanks. Do those cassettes have enough of a plenum though, without a box?

Yep, they said the plenum is the same volume as the hepa. The only disadvantage i can think of is the flow hood will probably have to be bigger because of the rear spigot.

Wow just looked on ebay for stamps.
you can pick up 100 first class stamps that have been cut off envalopes but not franked for about 20£.
New they would have a value of 41£
And considering that they will be worth 46£ on the first of next month, it might be worth looking into if you trade a lot.
Since the cost of shipping is going up approx 13%, and you can get stamps for under half of the current asking price its something to think about. I send out about ten packages a month, so I'm doing my research.
Wish I would have thought about buying used(no franking though) stamps before.
Might have to give them a quick trim and tape them on but who cares?

Tyvek coveralls from Screwfix are a pretty good deal. Think I paid £6 for an XXL, and it's very local for me.. One leg has lasted me a couple of years.

Not sure if its real tyvek, but I bought a dust sheet from pound land and looks like tyvek and I've had no contam issues. It's a great big sheet.
I'm pretty sure landscaping membrane is the same stuff as tyvek.

I just cut the sleeves off and wear them when I do glovebox work. I only give them a spray with Oust though, never occurred to me to PC them!

Yeah badman mentioned pcing it. Sent my contam rate from 15-25% to under 5% . Not bad at all for a GB I must say.
I just ordered my 24 blocks of coir from wiggly wigglers for free! Still for 9£ in vouchers left too. thought about getting some bokashi bran too. trying to figure out if I can even use it to make more since I have a huge sack of wheat bran just sitting around feeding the mice in my shed. I might get some worms come spring.
I think I'm going to buy some unfranked stamps off ebay too.
Seems like quite the market. I just want to know where the hell they get them all from? Council Bin Mafia? Its rare that I see an unfranked one come through my door so where are they getting them buy the hundreds?
I've been studying them on ebay for an hour or so. Seems that most are on paper. There are the old ones that you can soak/steam to remove from the paper. Must have been the old kind that you lick. Or there is the new gummed ones. they seem to come off if you soak them in acetone/nail polish remover. I am willing to bet that IPA will work but dont quote me. I'm thinking I can order 100 of the new ones with the security cut outs on paper. Soak in acetone. Remove from the parer and stick onto wax paper. Pretty much be the same as getting em from the post office.
You could always just trim them with scissors and (pritt/glue stick to your envelope/package.
You can also buy stacks of the old ones ungummed and just pritt stick them on. Cost a couple of pounds more though. Might be worth it for the time though.
I got to try the hard way once just to say I did it. Still though half price for postage is just that. Half off.

Seen it man, its a good general warning.
Most will let you return.
Most have good ratings as well.
I see that at least one seller is buying them really low when possible and reselling.
Its like the stock market of used stamps.
Crazy times.

Hey baddy, do you have any tips on motor sellers?
I'm looking at the VBL8 here: http://www.aircontrolindustries.com/products-centrifugal/191/centrifugal
But it's fairly spendy at ~£350 + VAT
