What do you want dude? Your tub likely isn't gonna perform well no matter which way you slice it. That spawn ratio was a mistake. If you only have one or two quarts of spawn, you should be doing your monotub in a 3 gallon bucket with four or so inches of substrate.

Ain't much you can do. Fruit it or let it set. Just stop messing with it. You've already opened it and fucked with it, so I say fruit it.

Good luck! I like your humor

When I do monos this size I use 2 to 3 bricks to get a 4 to 5 inch sub and use up to 8 qts of spawn and it only takes 2 weeks max. I put in mnore spawn to beat the chance of contams. Just a preference of mine thats all.

If you are hard up for prints then fruit them. If not, then give em another week then put them in.

id give them more time
you want the surface white
fruiting when not fully colonized can lead to contams

How are the humidity levels inside your tubs now?

dont know how to judge that without a humidity gauge but id say pretty dam high, look at the water droplets formed over the myc. and the walls are dripping. it feels damp in there too, and warm. must be a lot of chemical reactions goin down.

I can't get the pics to open in Firefox
I've seen monotubs with water droplet pools on top but are actually pretty dry.
I'd wait a few more days, it looks like everything is going well.
If you really are impatient, make some buckets!

ok so i peeked in, its been 2 days since the pictures above, and one of the tubs have lots of metabolites forming on the surface. juicy yellow droplets. is this an indication that they are just begging to be fruited? the surface doesnt look 100% colonized (close though) but there is a looot of shrinkage. what should i do? this is now day 22 of colonization lol. crazy.

Just fruit it. A lot of metabolites can mean it is fighting something. Rather than incubating that something anymore, give your tub fresh air.

Shrinkage is also a good indicator of a tub that is ready to start pinning.

I'm just curious what you mean by put it into fruiting conditions.  Are you keeping it in the dark right now?  I'm surprised it hasn't started fruiting on it's own by now honestly.

the holes are taped up, as opposed to being filled with polyfil, and they are under a blanket keeping it in the dark.
