Has anyone else felt like this?

For the past few months, there was a lot that happened in my life (layoff, broke it off with the fiance, etc)... so I haven't been the happiest camper.
Last week was trip time, which wasn't the best - but to this day I still feel happier than I did. Today I noticed that I was looking at the sky, which in turn, lead me to look at the trees and kind of smile.
I just feel better about myself. Never took any prescriptions for depression, never wanted to; but I know I had it... but every time I do shrooms, life seems that much better for some reason.
Anyone else felt like this?

Yes. I've long felt that mushrooms have a very real, positive psychological potential. Recent studies have provided evidence of their efficacy in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and it stands to reason that others might benefit. A gross minority of imbecilic psychedelic proponents contend that mushrooms and other hallucinogens are mankind's cure-all, which is ridiculous to the point of being offensive. Certain people under certain circumstances should not take mushrooms and may in fact injure their minds by doing so. But others cannot deny their value.

Yep. I'm a pretty cynical/pessimistic/nihilistic person if I haven't shroomed in a long time (year or so).
Shrooms just make you feel that everything is all right. They definitely boost my mood/productivity/motivation on a day to day basis.
I think it has to do with expanding your perception to view the "big picture" rather than "small stuff." But at the same time it makes the small, beautiful things more profound.
Gotta love em! Glad you're feeling better.

Awesome! Thanks for the responses. I'm trying mushrooms a few more times, before I dip into the LSD realm.... Call it, readiness. I just want to make sure that if I can 'let go' on mushrooms, that i'll be able to do that on LSD as well. Hmmm..

I feel like I learn something new about myself, my friends, or the world in general when I trip. One intense trip cemented the idea in my mind that even if I lost everything, as long as I have the people I love everything will be alright.
This sounds obvious but it has a hell of an impact when one actually realizes it.

Yeah. Not with shrooms though. But with LSD.
It feels like your clearing your head of all the bad thoughts. You see it from a different perspective.
Kinda like purging.

If I get stuck in a bad mindstate for a day or two; when I pull myself I usually feel this. I just called it appreciation for life.

I know the feeling you speak of, but I have had it before ever doing mushrooms.
Now I just feel more "correct" in the experiencing of it..
I know that doesn't make much sense..

Makes perfect sense to me. As if it is the "proper" way to feel the feeling. Kind of like you're allowed to feel it now as opposed to before, when you were feeling it against nature or something. Sound about right?
And to the OP: I actually feel like that every time I take mushrooms now. I had gone into a bad anxiety/depression phase and was taking lots of medications (including SSRIs) and I just knew that I needed a mushroom trip to make it better. Took a long while, but I did mushrooms a few times while on the medications and it really seemed to help. I am now not prescribed anything except for Ambien for insomnia, which I've had forever. Mushrooms are my new anti-depressant.

Guys I totally agree. Especially with the bigger picture thing. Nature is big in my life too. I am a reformed man after my experiences. Fear became love.

I know the feeling exactly. With both shrooms and acid I felt much more positive and centered for a while after the trip. The acid trip especially-- broke me of all my bad habits for a month because it made me see how silly they were, and I'm still better about some of those habits to this day. I found that acid and shrooms took me to a really positive place and helped me see and process reality in a better way.

Don't give the psychedelics an award, give yourself the award. It is you that you are seeing, that you are feeling; it is you that you are thinking about.
You brought yourself your happiness.

It's weird, I just had a really shitty trip, mostly because of the infamous shroom/weed faint which I think gave me a concussion. But for some reason I feel better for some reason.

I find shrooms have definitely impacted my life positively as wellQuote:

This sounds obvious but it has a hell of an impact when one actually realizes it.
I've had some profound realizations like this on mushrooms as well. The kind of simple things you think you appreciate already but you don't until you really experience the importance within yourself.
I remember feeling such a love buzz before, but only whilst on them. Coming down was awful. Re-entering 'reality' was so daunting. Everything seemed so bleak and unexpressive. Sadly the beautiful feelings didn't resonate like the OP.

Yes, most definitely. The day after a shroom trip I feel like I'm on cloud 9. I still have this sort of glow about me for a good month after a shroom trip. I can't explain it, it's just like something about being on shrooms makes me realize that everything is going to be okay, and the little things I worry about on an everyday basis are nothing in the grand scheme of things. And that mindset just kind of carries over even when I'm not on shrooms. <3
