Perhaps outline what is considered "advanced"?
    #1151271 -

I am guessing O/D and bulk teks are advanced subjects and perhaps some microscopy.Could someone be more specific about what is considered "advanced" other than "don't ask about PF tek"? I am also assuming that subjects NOT in search or faq  are also appropriate?I grow mostly O/D beds but I would hardly consider them advanced as nature does most of the work,so questions I have about O/D cultivation are probably NOT advanced O/D culture questions(such as my post on my B+ bed being flooded) but I am not sure they fit in with the PF crowd either :confused:So perhaps some more concrete delineation between A/C and Cult would be helpful to me to keep my posts appropriate :wink:Thanx WR

"so if you have a question about a your PF jars, a contam, a substrate that has already been discussed, grain ratios, a species that has been cultivated ad-nauseum or anything that isn't advanced this isn't the right forum."

Damn! where did I read that before?I'll ask again; Is simple outdoor culture considered "advanced"? While I use no "exotic" substrates and my species have been cultivated "ad-nauseum" however I doubt if a tenth of members use O/D cultivation teks.So I ask, am I gonna get grilled for asking about a common substrate in an uncommon usage? And again while my outdoor tek is not what I call advanced it is definately not at the PF level either, so what is the scoop? is simple O/D tek considered advanced? :confused:if not then I will post in the simple cultivation forum.WR.
PS I read very well thank you so please no more cut and paste answers. If my question would have been satifactorily answered by the original post I would not have posted my question.

There is no hard and fast line between the two forums. Kinda like the supreme court justice trying to define hardcore porn vs. softcore porn, "I know it when I see it".

Personally, I wouldn't be offended by od methods discussed in either forum. I think the main distinction should be, lots of people can answer questions about pf cakes, simple casing etc, so that goes in the more heavily trafficked cult forum. Something that will get flooded out or ignored over there should go over here. But I'm no shroombasador or anything, just my .02

PM me with any cultivation questions.

I just looked at my profile and realized I had a website at one point in time on geocities, it's not there anymore and I have no idea what I had on it. Anybody remember my website from several years aga? PM if so please.

Makes sense,I suppose if they just move the threads as the mods call em we'll get the idea what is what.Like my post on an outdoor B+ bed in the PNW that flooded at around 40F.For an outdoor cultivator this may not an advanced question but it is above PF tek I would say,but would rather hear from an admin or mod their opinion on the best place for simple outdoor questions.I use an adapted grain or PF tek to create spawn so simple so far but then I build an elaborate bed of layered alder/cardboard shred,Straw/poo and wood chips for the spawn so I start things Simple and move to a more complex tek as I go.I guess the best thing would be to post my spawn ?'s upstairs and my bed ?'s here? Any way I'm sure if I get it wrong I'll be spanked  and figure it out  Thanx for helping,WR

that would be considered advanced in my opinion, anything that is difficult to get an answer for, or stumps your friends on the shroomery, should probably go here. I'm just trying to weed out a lot of the bullshit that gets posted with no reason. Mickey, and the other mods in MC are perfectly capable of answering 75% of the questions posted in here. Those questions will be weeded out. If it's something that not just anyone who has read TMC or GG+MM would know, it'll stay. Pretty much - the stamets books outline what I would consider "basic". Anything not covered by them, is more likely advanced, sans PF tek.
