Is "dextrose corn sugar" the same thing as just regular dextrose?.. my friend said that's all they had at the health food store...

Also for MEA "Malt Powder" is the same as malt extract correct?

Im not sure if its the same, but corn syrup is syrup, but the dextrose that i just bought from the health food store is in a white powdered form so i was under the impression that they are different . Does anyone know if this is the same thing? I hope it is because i added a little to my batch of PF cakes, my first grow! I probably shouldnt have tried experimenting on my first time out but o well if it doesnt work ill learn (no progess yet, just innoculated on sunday and yesterday, so im not sure if its gonnna work).

It will be OK in my opinion.
I tried to use fructose instead of dextrose and didn't notice any difference.

It`s all just a sugar base in the end.
I use fructose for pda.
It`s still refined sugar.

They're both monosaccharides.
Generally you prepare media that contains a variety of sugars. Dextrose as monosachharide, potatoes are a source of polysacharides and for woodlovers you can add also some sawdust (celulose).

ive seen good results with diabetic glucose tablets dessolved in water then injected into cakes...could promote bacteria and germs though
