Recycle your spores
    #1149698 - 12/17/02 05:57 PM (13 years, 11 months ago)

I was just thinking of shrooms today in class and I was wondering if after you tripped...the next crap you take you take outside or wherever...could shrooms grow out of that? I mean it works for cows...or are our stomachs much to harsh for spores...would they die?

Gross. Naw man. We eat meat and are omnivores. Cows eat straw and are herbavores so are horses. Are crap is not the right kind. Out body is 98.6 degrees and 103 is the death level so spores might live unless the acid killed them or unless it generated heat in your stomach or some shit. Thats fucking gross anyways

I think cows have multi chambered stomachs and humans do not.

I read a report by the English Institute for mycological studies that claimed that it is possible to grow mushrooms from human shit.
It said that you need to switch to a diet that contains at least 70% grains for a minimum of two weeks before you start and all throughout the growing process. Apparently the human stomach is neither hot enough, nor acidic enough to actually kill spores, so if you eat mushrooms that have some spore left in them, they will grow in your shit!
Unfortunately it only works with fresh mushrooms, as usually once they're dried, the spores lose the ability to germinate.

So yes, it does take some work, and it isn't 100%
But if you really try, and work hard at it, you can actually BECOME your very own mushroom farm!!!!!!

Asking questions is cool, just realize that some questions may be a little retarded and they require smartass replies, but as long as you are a good sport about it, that's all that matters. You're alright man.

Have you ever studied the mechanics of intra-intestinal mycological cultivation?
no?
I thought not!!

I know dried spores will germinate (wtf else is a print?)
I just wanted to fill it with as many sciency sounding bullshit as I could to see if I could trick a newb into eating bag after bag of birdseed
