The Most Effecient Grow Tek for A 1st Timer

I am about to start my first mushroom grow and I was curious as to what would be the most effecient and most hassle-free tek for growing. I don't want to look all over the place for the substrate and items needed for growing. I already figured out the pftek and saw some stuff about casing. It seems sort of risky...but I guess if you guys think its okay for a newbie to try a certain advanced technique then I will. Also, what is a good first time strain I could try?

By far PF tek is the way for you to go. Dont worry about casing untill you get the hang of one tek. You gotta walk before you can crawl son. Also, your life will consist of you being burried knee deep in knowlegde for the next month or so, so this means stock up on the Folgers and the Jergens if you are in this for the long haul!! Good luck, and get to reading...The FAQ's will be your best friends but make you sure read alot don't just read one post and think you got it down, the mission is simple: Check, read, read, check, then double check and re-read everything. =)
