ye what ive been doing is opening the tub, and in a fast motion, bringing the lid up and down the draw in fresh air. then i close it up. i do this for a few seconds. i always oust the air around me before i do this.

You can leave the lid off OR just remove the polyfil from the bottom holes along the long sides. Taking the lid off will kill humidity for a short time, while leaving the holes open will give around 85% humidity while providing FAE, which is perfect.
this sounds like your best bet
-noobie-
so lets say i do this, do i turn my fan off? then there wil be no air current in the room.

no you want a fan on this creates moving air that will circulate thru your tubs

ok so i guess ill take the advise about taking the poly out. but before i do heres a picture of the setup just to help you guys make a better judgment call for me.
*on the floor is where the fan is, its an air purifier so it looks like a little box. the direction of the air is directed towards the back mylar so it bounces off and goes all around the tubs.

If the poly is out and the fan is running, you'll have too much air movement. Trust me there will be enough with it removed. If you leave the poly packed in, you could get away with running the fan. But why use electricity when you don't have to.
Also, and slow or quick movement with the lid of the tub is going to create turbulent air and is PLENTY of time for contaminants to land on the sub. Many already have. The best defense against those contams is, you guessed it, FAE.
Spraying oust is useless. It won't kill mold spores and that is really the only threat to your tub. Don't waste your money.

ok so either leave the loose poly in WITH the fan, or poly out WITHOUT the fan. and scrap the fanning?

no, stick to it keep a light cycle going, keep misting twice to three times a day and fan 3-6 times a day
its your grow though so its your call ive dealt with subs that wouldnt fully colonize because of excessive moisture so i just introd to FC and they pinned like crazy after a week or so of following the suggestion above

Do this and keep doing it. If you keep asking you're going to keep getting contradictory advice. Just pick something and do it. Don't try to listen to everybody.

yea this is what im following. its so frustrating though. the pins get to about half a cm high and just stop growing. aside from the stressed sub, im doing everthing else right. i thought once they pin, they all start growing fast, VERY fast. my next project is going to be the same except a higher spawn/sub ratio and a little less than a 4 inch sub depth so i can use all 4 of my tubs. debating on whether or not to do straight coir or do the mix i have now, spent coffee/coir/verm.

You do know what you're doing wrong because you've been told fifteen times in this thread. Your spawn ratio sucked. You're a nub. With experience comes results. Be patient.
You're lucky that you've got this. This tub isn't going to suddenly flush a half pound dry.

heres a list of things that went wrong
your spawn ratio was to low your sub was too wet it was not fully colonized when introduced to fruiting conditions you kept messing with it,opening it,checking it,cutting chunks out of it just learn from your mistakes this time and correct them next time you do it

yea, currently i have 14 jars of wbs colonizing as opposed to the 4 or 5 i had to use with this project. that plus a lower sub depth will let me do all 4 tubs with a better spawn/sub ratio.

Can you pull the trash bag back and take a pic of what the side of the sub looks like?
I want to see just how colonized your sub is. I have had some excellent results fruiting partially colonized tubs.
The main problem is how wet your sub is. Does it always look like those last pictures. You should really be increasing your fanning if so, and let it dry out some. Those pins are soaked in water and probably aborting. Directly misting them is OK, but you must fan afterward to dry them off.

I don't see what low spawn ratio has to do with your current conditions. If you listened to my advice, you would have removed the polyfil. Your substrate needs to dry out some, and by some I mean a lot.
