You are probably thinking of another Chroogomphus species, like C. vinivolor, or almost any other.  Most are some shade of red, brown, purple or bronze.  And most species are also very smooth on the cap (shiny and slick when dry, viscid when wet), whereas the cap of this species is tomentose, hence the species name.

the ones you linked me too look like the right one.they look more orange then red to me.maybe its my monitor.

Yes, those are Chroogomphus tomentosus.  Though the other species which are darker tend to be more common, which is why I did not recognize yours at first.
