I just don't know if it's true for ATL 7 / Ps. galindoi. In fact, given the confusion re galindoi/atlantis, I'm not really sure of much about ATL 7. But I know it's a lot of fun to work with, whatever the hell it is.
Next time I get prints, I'll see about getting one to somebody that can do a real ID.

You got 14g fresh sclerotia from a half pint jar? Wow, I deff have to try this thankyou for the inspiration. I went to sporeworks to check for atl#7, they only had a print. Do they sell spore syringes of atl#7 and they were just out? Or would I have to make my own?

Making your own would be a lot more efficient in the end. Sooner or later you have to try it anyway, so you better do it sooner.
It appears to me, that plenty of people are scared of failing at making their own syringes, which isn't necessary at all. Many start off with a print and only a vague idea of what to do with it, including myself.
It really isn't a problem!

So… to let you know, the journey of your ATL#7 continues.
I just inoculated two big jars of rye berries (+1L each) and a small (half-pint?) one I plan to use to make a grain LC.
I'll try to not screw up… and I really hope I get some fruits to give some prints further away
Thanks again, I hope I can give you good news and some nice pictures soon.

Is the verm hard to get off the stones?
Well the only reason I'm trying to avoid making my own print for now is because all I have is a syringe of oysters, I'd have to use that before I put the atl#7 in there :/
This is really cool I can just inoculate my half pint jars and then 6 weeks later get my stones or wait longer 5 jars=5 people in 6 weeks, gnarly!

The verm isn't too bad. You wash the stones when you harvest, then roll them around on a paper towel. Then let them air dry, and most of the verm falls off. You can make tea if there's still too much for your tastes. Or dry and grind the stones and make capsules, that's what I did.

If there's hardly any verm on the stones, I don't think I would mind. It's only 15-20g of fresh sclerotia, no biggie. I'm just stuck on the "this seems to good to be true." All I have to do is make my brf cakes, steam sterilize then inoculate with some wonderful atl and then wait 6 weeks? Take the cake out of the jar, pick out the stones and enjoy?

Honestly, I think that's why nobody had ever tried it before. I PC my jars like I said, but steam should work great.
Dunno about the other- but you can get a little PC for cheap or free if you keep your eyes open. And a bigger one isn't very expensive for what you can do with it.

This is a 16 ounce container, you see threads about people doing these in the microwave. (I PC mine) Shot up 12/25 with LC, so that's 16 days. It's not 100% colonized, but it's making stones already- this is the largest.

I'm jealous does sporeworks only sell these in spore print form? mexicana has syringes available bt atl#7 doesn't.

I dunno who sells what. But there's nothing wrong with a print, you can make a few syringes and have some backup. Also make some LC.

The only syringe I have is the blue oyster one, half is left. Can I make lc w/out grains and what not? On sporeworks, they say atl is available in syringe form, I think they are just out. If I got a print, wouldn't agar stuff have to be done?

You don't necessarily need agar. A cultivated print is often sterile enough to make some jars with. (Wild ones, almost never.) And if that works, gamble some spores on LC. A few drops might pay off big.
But get a PC. It's not that big a deal. A little one is great for LC or a few spawn jars. You'll want a little one when you get your big one anyway, there's no harm in getting it first.
Edit- acquire a few syringes, too. You'll need them.

I heard PC's are really spendy though, and the cheap ones are garbage. Can I get a pc that'll work fr small stuff that wont cost over 100? If the lc works, I'd be stoked! Next time I order I'll get some blanks. How many syringes can one atl print make? They are pretty small. Tbh, 5 pf caks worth of stones seems like more then enough, idk if a pc is needed right now.

I got two different PCs at Goodwill for $10 each. And my big one was less than $100 new. $89, I think it was, with shipping, and it works just fine.
You don't need a PC, but it sure opens up a lot of options.

I've gone back and forth on this. Some seemed to stall when I shook them, so I stopped for a while. But now it seems ok.

a small PC is a good thing to have in addition to a big one it sucks to have to fire up a 23qt PC for 250ml of agar
