Im trying to find a quality guitar pedal that is easy to use and has a solid range of effects, distortion and cool trippy shit.........
i got a cheap pedal not too long ago but i lost the plug and it was pretty weak. its also about time i get some guitar equipment, especially now that im going to be jamming with more people and working on a band
Know about or use any solid guitar pedals?

If you live in a city, check craigslist.
I like individual stomp boxes more than multi-effects pedals.
You're probably going to get what you pay for, unless it's used from a friend. I suggest you never buy a pedal unless you've personally used it before (preferably on an amp/setup similar to your own).

Honestly, I'd stick to single effect pedals. Every multieffects pedal has been lacking somewhere that I've played. Especially if you plan to play loud out of an amp. A POD is great if you don't want to use an amp and play into headphones or record DI into your computer, but I've never really liked the sound that I've gotten out of an amp.
I guess if you just go to a guitar center and mess around with some pedals you could find one you like. I've never used one of those huge BOSS boards, but those might be fun.
I mean, when's the last time you've used flanger, chorus, distortion, pitch shifter, and reverb in a song?

i dont need something intense , listening to the radiohead song airbag influenced me to seek out a pedal. im into subtle trippy kind of effects. things youd hear from bands like animal collective and pixies for an example. too many effects can be bad too, but i think theres a lot of possibilities with a pedal

I have the Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay...LOve it.. More of an ambient repeater than long delay... Sounds fantastic, i love it at a low setting to add just a nice warmth
But also gets really psychedelic...At high settings sounds totally hendrix like!

Ehh i just watched the video..Not the best because he uses it with another pedal.. there are a few more on you tube with the same pedal..Youll see 'em..
Awsome pedel!! I use it mroe often that any other, again even at low settings just for ambient warmth...

A good overdrive or a nice tube distortion pedal mixed with a reverb or delay is a great combo.
I've been looking into a BOSS RV-3 for a while, I've used it before to record (bass) with and it was awesome.
Animal Collective uses a lot of delay with guitar.
A reverb with a reverse setting can sound real trippy, look into the RV-3.
