2 BRF cakes first flush 142 grams. WooHoo!

i made my first casing a couple of weeks ago using a 6 inch terracotta plant pot. 

I got some westlands organic peat and bark compost mixed that 50/50 with verm wet it and pressure cooked it for half an hour.

I placed a two inch layer in the bottom of the pot, crumbled two BRF cakes colonised with EQ's onto it and covered it with another two inches of the mix.  i made a fruiting chamber out of a ten litre plastic water bottle with three inches of soggy perlite in the bottom and stuck it the hallway cupboard with one of those longlife 9 watt mini flouro bulbs running 24/7.

I fanned and misted it twice daily, and this morning the veils had broken so i harvested them all.  I got 142 grams of this first flush.

Is this a normal size first flush for casing in this way.  I have to say that i'm pretty fucking amazed with the results.

I've also got a 10 inch pot casing four BRF cakes in the same manner that has just started flushing.  I can't wait for this beasty to show me what she can do.

I would also take this opportunity to thank all the people who have written all the things that have helped me to acheive this bumper crop, whoever they are.

A cooking/roasting bag.

Make sure you put something solid on top of it in the PC to stop the bag blocking the PC vents.
