Does anyone here grow Chaliponga?? Why are the seeds so rare dammit?? If anyone grow it please post some pics. Does it grow fast like most vines??? I bet its one of the fastest DMT producers "yeah a little 5meo-DMT in there too".

Hmmm. Good question. I've not seen much mention of it around the forums. Perhaps a quest is in order!

Diplopterys cabrerana is planted in home gardens via cuttings. The cuttings are either directly planted in soil or rooted first in water.

It is exceedingly rare in cultivation. I talked to a person growing it and he said that he tried to propagate many cuttings from a motherplant. The cuttings took well but as soon as he transplanted them, they died en masse.
Also, from what I have heard this plant really doesn't like to flower and seed. Like only in an act of desperation, hence why seeds are such a rarity. Maybe where they grow native they produce seed easier? I have a couple seed still I think but they were old and dead when I got them, they are not winged like caapi seeds.
There is no commercial source for growable material.

Hey you know what the evergrowing worldwide Entheogenic community needs?
A large online Entheogenic plant cuttings- and seed trade bank. Like a sort of Entheogenic E-bay. Run by ad for Entheogenic enthusiasts. There should be a way of internationally shipping these goods, as long as they're legal I suppose. There are international delivery companies that allow you to submit a package(with Acacia seeds for example)in one of their offices in Houston, Texas, USA and have this company deliver this package to one of their offices in Amsterdam, Netherlands. There the one who ordered the Acacia seeds can pick up and take home this package if he can properly identify him or herself. And some payments should be made that come with the shipping off course.
Members of the serveral Entheogenic communities (Drugs-Forum, Shroomery, DMT-Nexus, Entheogen.com)should come together and found such an Entheogenic Seed and Cuttings-exchange community. People could place adverticements/topics where they say what Entheogenic seeds/Cuttings they have to offer and people that are interrested can then PM them. Possibly offering any other Entheogenic seeds/Cuttings in return.
The Coroborree allready does this to some extent, but I'd like to see a worldwide community connected to a worldwide shipping company, who's members are honoust and reliable and with relatively fast service. Like an online smartshop without the high prices. This way we can also stop the overharvesting of entheogens in the wild a bit. I'd like to cultivate many 100ds of Peyote cacti and export the most healthy and strong specimens to Mexico to be replanted in the wild to counteract it's gradual extinction in it's natural habitat(amongst the Huichol indians of Northern Mexico)
Basically I'd like to make it possible to react to some one offering Datura Inoxia seeds(for example), agree with this person to exchange 20 of them for 20 of your Acacia Confusa seeds and then have the Datura seeds delivered at your door within a week or 2 max. Also I'd like the members to make as much Cultivation notes as they can to document the best circumstances for Growth and high Alkaloid contents in various entheogenic plants( like prefered soil, prefered humidity-level, prefered hours of sunlight, prefered temperature, wind, pruning, grafting..etc) To make an Entheogenic Cultivation-bible of some sorts.
We can do that without too much trouble can't we?

This site has a marketplace, which is usually trade based, that opens up to you after a certain number of days and posts...This is essentially the same thing as you are proposing.
Also, this is almost not on the topic of this 4 month old thread that you bumped as well as nears vendor discussion.
Next time, please make a new thread so that we keep newer threads on top.
Finally, The numbers of Lophophora Williamsii in mexico is far greater than the decimated numbers in Texas, where it truly is almost extinct.
Replanting them there would be a far better investment for the future of the species, as well as pushing for legal cultivation so that the NAC and other consumers are not forced to take from the wild.
On that note, welcome to the Shroomery EG and please read up on the rules

Irie, Plainswalker, can you post a photo of the 2 seeds you have? It would be good to see even if they are old. I have some seeds coming from Peru, that are supposed to be right??? In the photo I saw, they had wings??? The guy is also sending some leaves from the same plant, so I hope that will help ID it easier. I'll post a photo of the seeds when I get them. Here's a good link for the species, third one down has non-winged seeds, but I wonder how many in the species are actually utilized?; http://fm1.fieldmuseum.org/vrrc/index.php?page=results&genus=Diplopterys&PHPSESSID=b85... That said, the market here is probably only 5-10% ethno related.
I wish we were allowed to have giveaways here, or at least allowed one trade thread.

You can have give-aways here.... You just post a contest in the marketplace giving away whatever you want to give away.... I did "Free Bridgesii, Peruvianus, Pachanoi, or Calea Z cuttings to the first 3 people who message me" When I first got my 50 posts, in order to boost my trade ratings so people would trade w me.... It worked pretty good.... And it gave me a warm and fuzzy

I think a better idea would be a subform in the marketplace, that way those Who have ethnos but don't frequently check the eg can trade their stuff as well.
Also, I think it's best that we keep the eg and trading seperate.
A subforum in the marketplace would help us sort through the stuff we are not looking for too.
But on another note, this is way off topic and should probably be continued in a new thread on the suggestions and feedback forum.

Im assumeing its ok, because nobody's going to care about derailing a long expired thread.
I think a subforum would be nice, but I doubt any mod will be down for that.
Dan- why do you think it's best to keep trading and the garden seperate?
I think it would help build a sense of community.

The mods will care because it is keeping alive a thread that shouldn't have been brought back up.
The Marketplace has the restrictions it does for a reason.
Although I think it may slightly help build a community, it will expand the community to those who don't frequent the EG as often as you or I and may frequent the marketplace more.
This forum is about the growing of plants not the trading of them, and throwing that in there I think will cause too much clutter.
I honestly feel like the Marketplace could be divided into sections based on what people are trading, that way it would be easy to keep an eye out on a certain section if you're in the market for something.
I hate when I miss a good deal because it gets pushed to the next page due to stuff I dont care about.

The main reason I would want a thread like that here is because when I see seeds up for trade in the marketplace I have no idea who they are coming from. It's hard for me to trust the sources regarding identification and viability.
I'm not going to push the topic any further. It is just an idea, and I have said everything I've wanted to.

FWIW the EG is a nice place away from the very differently cultured parts of shroomery. Its best it be kept that way methinks.
