Time will tell but that h2o2 move was silly. Now you've messed up the water content.
Also if what you see is growing outside the transfered grain perimeter then i'm almost sure it is a contam. , green usually start as white little patches.

I am pretty sure I know what you are talking about. It has occurred with several rye jars that I have seen recently. Haven't been able to ID it yet, but if I can/do then I'll let you know what it is.
The jars that I saw with this contaminant were removed from the incubator and let sit @ approximately 65 degrees Fahrenheit. The mycelium seems to be overrunning the contaminants now.
So you may be able to fruit these jars, but don't use them as grain masters.

Of course they do but contrary to what you state they put the mycelium inside a h2o2/h2o mix to clean it before the transfer and not the h2o2 mix inside a jar with already transfered mycelium.
You do a search.

I've never seen Streptomyces as a grain jar contaminant, but it's certainly possible.  It's the bacteria responsible for the 'basement smell', and has been implicated in many serious 'domestic' allergic reactions.  It's a cool bacteria because it has characteristics of both fungi and bacteria [looks more like mold]

Regardless, glovebox is your friend :smile:

Stop using rye!
This is because the gain available to you may carry a high load of endogenous
contams that cannot be eliminated by pressure cooking. Try something different
like Instant Brown Rice or Millet they work well. Also use distilled water or spring
water ph is a big factor I found. Good Luck!
