They're definitely not ready to be picked.
If making prints, wait until the veil breaks fully, then pull it.

guess your getting lucky, cause thats why people say to use wide mouth instead of reg mouth for PF tek...
No One Says This? They say Dont use the jars with "shoulders"!
cakes fall right out with regular half pints. but i do notice they colonize a 4-6 days slower than wide mouth half pints. buuuuuut they do contain more substrate than a wide mouth, due to the fact i make a smaller verm barrier.

Update on the happenings. These guys got really big and started to sag under their own weight. 7 shrooms out of only 1 jar!!! Can't wait to see what 12 jars would yield. Sorry I don't have a scale yet so I can't weigh them wet but I will have one by the time they're dry.

Getting bigger and starting to fall over:

Picked and ready to dry:

I know they look wet and they are but do they look ok? They look fun to me but I'm still and little new at this.
24 hour dunk tonight then rolling and back in the chamber.Hope the yield continues to produce. The cake shrunk a decent amount. If I get any more this next go-round I need to pick soon enough to make a print.

Those look fine to me, although I wouldn't have let them mature so much.
-------------------- HELLO, NUBCAKES. ARE YOU HAVING CONTAMINATION ISSUES? WELL, YOU MUST NOT BE AWARE OF THE MAGICAL FORCE OF BACTERIAL ENDOSPORES. E-N-D-O-S-P-O-R-E-S. SPELL IT OUT, YOU GOD DAMN NUBLETS, BECAUSE IT WHAT CAUSES EVERY CONTAMINATION KNOWN TO MAN. ENDOSPORES HAPPEN WHEN YOU DO NOT PRESSURE COOK AT 15 PSI FOR AT LEAST 6 HOURS. LIKE A FUCKING VIETCONG IN HIS CAVE, THESE RELENTLESS COCKSUCKSERS CAN GET FUCKING FRIED AND STILL POP OUT OF YOUR GRAIN AND FUCK ALL YOUR SHIT RIGHT UP!! GETTING CONTAMINATIONS? WELL OBVIOUSLY, YOU DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ENDOSPORES!!

Nice work. Do let us know how the potency is, please. A few people around here seem to consider B+ as maybe a bit on the impotent side! I hope your experience is different... (I am sitting here with a syringe full of B+ and grains cooling in the PC!)

Will do Puma. This is my first time with B+ which I found were easy to grow for a 1st timer. I have not heard any bad things until recently. I wonder if it has more to do with the supplier? Of course if they are on the weak side then I would think it has more to do with me and it being my 1st time out vs low potency.
I still have half a syringe of B+ as well.
I'll update back with the experience in Dec!

The jars 3rd from the left are wide mouth. Everything else is regular mouth. You have wide mouth, I don't know what t.h. is talking about.
Looks great, nice job!

i currently have a few jars incubating now for my first grow. i used the pf tek as well. i've kept them at 85F and it's been about 9 days now and there's little to no growth yet. i know you said you kept yours at 75F. how long did it take yours to fully colonize? first signs of growth? thanks

85*F is way too high. 80*F is the highest you want them to get.

i started a thread earlier today trying to get some opinions. it seems almost split down the middle between mid to high 70s and mid 80s. i've heard it can take 15 days at 86F and 30 days at 76F to fully colonize but i'm curious as to what really works best for most of us. i don't want to trail off too far so check out my thread and give me some tips http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/11469041

well mycl growth slows done after 86f.... and your jars produce heat on the inside so if your outside temp is 85 you can count on the internal temp being 3 or so degrees higher. and mycl starts dying at 91. i would get those to 80 degrees max. right now your jars are an open door for contams to walk right in and fuck shit up.

Shoot me a pm if you would like a powerful custom laser built. 4th pic is a 1.3W 445nm laser burning thru some plastic makeup containers. Yes I was wearing proper safety goggles, otherwise I would be blind right now.

My B+ took 4 weeks:( to fully colonize but for the first 3 nothing, nothing happened. From what I read this is becoming more common with B+ regardless of temp. After the forth week at 100% I waited another week like the RR videos suggested but by then I already had a few guys poke and reach for the top of the tyvek filter. (See jars on page 1 with the green backdrop). I should have kept a better eye on them before the little guys started to show. It would have been more like 3 days — not an entire week.
