 How much money do you spend on music?

Personally I still buy a few albums a month. Going to the record store has always been something I've enjoyed. Probably spend around $30 a month on CDs.
Adding live shows into the equation I probably spend between one and two hundred a month.
What about you?

I only spend money for concerts anymore.
I might spend $15 on cdr's every few months.

I don't spend any money on acquiring music, but I got to as many good shows as I can, and show my support like crazy when I'm there.
Between cover fees and merch, maybe a couple hundred a month as well.

I'll go back to buying albums the day the artist has more than one good song per $17 CD. I'd rather buy the one good song for .99 on iTunes.......Do you still think there are 2-3 albums per month that are WORTH the money, or do you just prefer the act of being in a music store, looking thru albums???
I think the music nowadays is terrible. Any hack with a Playskool Recorder and myspace can release music now. What happened to having actual talent??? Use the vocoders and you dont even have to have a good voice. You have engineers making beats, ghostwriters on the lyrics, internet programs that mimic instruments....its all looks and image now....give me a fugly person with talent anyday!!!!

Haha none of that was serious.
Well, I posted a good (or at least respectable) artist that I was listening to at the time later in that thread.
I do listen to different pretty terrible music though.
Mycolearner: Yes I think it's worth it otherwise I wouldn't buy the damn things. I can get anything I want to listen to for free mostly. I don't care to turn this into a debate on the state of current music but there's plenty of great shit out there. It's your problem if you don't like Top 40 and it's all you can find.

Usually just go to local and free shows. I used to spend like $80 on music a month (CDs, vinyls) but now it's more like I'll just buy a CD or record every few months. Once I get a job, I'll definitely start building my collection up again (I have like 300-400 CDs and 200 vinyl, plus a lotta stuff downloaded).
Oddly enough, if it wasn't for downloading music illegally, I think I might NEVER have purchased a CD or LP, but because illegal downloading helped get me so into music, I've spent thousands on music (not nearly as much these days)... and two thousand bucks on an awesome stereo system.

the one song you said to "Listen to 30 seconds then fast forward to the 2:30 mark" actually had me laughing in my seat. It was just "YARRRGHH ARRRGH ARRGHH YEEEAAA!" over and over lol.

I spend $0 on live concerts (too loud) and $0 on music CDs (don't listen to them).
I'll spend the 99 cents if I like a particular song enough, but generally I just like listening to Sirius or Pandora.

Only a few times when I want a soundtrack of a movie, but can't find a torrent. And if I can't find any other albums from a band that I love. Then I'll buy them on itunes.

Like 20-something. I only buy vinyl now most of them come with free mp3 download anyway.
I live in LA so i just go to the cheaper small gigs.

zero. i download everything.
i got to shows when i have the money though.
the artists get next to nothing from record sales, so i figure "fuck it". Plus the faster i can get the music industry to go bankrupt the better. They are the cancer eating the music that used to be art.

I Spend about 20-30 dollars a month on cds.
Another 40-50 a month on vinyl.
Maybe 15-20 on concert dvds.
And another 50 a month for concerts.

There is no way music could be fitted into my budget.
