The answer is Shpongle.

But seriously, I can't imagine The Doors being desirable over Pink Floyd.

I can't decide!!! I like Pink Floyd better on the whole, but one time I was tripping hard listening to The Doors and it was magical!

I remember listening to PF long before I had ever tripped.  After I had tripped it was like their music was new again.  Stuff I hadn't understood before now made sense.

Grateful Dead.

With few exceptions, both of those bands are generally too dark for me.

If I have to pick, I choose Floyd. Who really wants to hear "Mother, I want to kill you" in a creepy, serious voice while spun out of their gourd?

Also got to see Tool this year, and that was awesome. But still PF

I think both are amazing bands. And both great to trip to. But it's gotta be Pink Floyd if I have to chose. Also try The United States of America, they only did one album, but it's a super trippy album. Like the song The Garden of Earthly Delights.

Who? Me. Although I do love your Grateful Dead suggestion. I think I'll try Anthem Of The Sun.

Anyone who has ever listened to Atom Heart Mother Suite, on a blazing full moon night, while tripping on acid and walking through a gently sloping cow pasture by way of cowpaths bordering an old-growth forest harboring countless caves knows that the Floyd were onto something! or did I mean on something?!

Floyd without a doubt, especially their early stuff.
Listened to the Doors on acid years ago and his constant obsession with death gave me a bad trip. Mind you, the episode of the Outer Limits that was on didn't help either

After mixing high doses of cid and the movie The Wall I parallel too many manic thoughts with Pink Floyd compared to The Doors.  Don't misunderstand, I dig Pink Floyd but The Doors just ring a more posi vibe for me.

Damn I love Pink Floyd and their music is amazing to trip to however Ive had much crazier adventures listening to The Doors, Tool, Shpongle, Pink Floyd, Sublime, Led Zeppelin In that order

I also love listening to some heavy metal with a nice light show... Pantera, Mudvayne, Static X, Fear Factory, Devil Driver. You feel the power of this music when sober...when tripping you ride the waves of the music and it can be extremely intense.

The doors have taken me to entirely new levels....Take 7grams Penis Envy, Smoke a blunt of Bubba Kush immediately after, turn on the doors, turn off the lights, smoke another blunt :rasta: go in and out of reality :rocket: with the songs, I have quite literally gone away with the doors and came back as the song ended, turned the lights on and looked at my buddies with huge eyes  I had no idea where I went but I was no longer in that room during that time and I learned a lot about myself and had a whole new book of questions...one of the greatest trips of my life! :mushroom2:

The next best time was on some super bomb sid, a friend came over about an hour after me dropping two and a half tabs and we smoke a maple syrup blunt that tasted just like pancakes and he turned on some Tool and omg my fuckin mind was blown
