I remember listening to PF long before I had ever tripped. After I had tripped it was like their music was new again. Stuff I hadn't understood before now made sense.

FYI last night, I was tripping whilst listening to Ludacris "Move bitch."
So where's the option for hiphop or dub?
Where's my STAL?

'Floyd, though Doors is still a great choice. I must agree that listening to 'The End' at a sunset = epic!

Pink floyd is deffiantly better. Piper and meddle are both great albums to trip to. and The wall is a good movie to watch while tripping!

Grateful Dead.
With few exceptions, both of those bands are generally too dark for me.
If I have to pick, I choose Floyd. Who really wants to hear "Mother, I want to kill you" in a creepy, serious voice while spun out of their gourd?

Having had the pleasure of seeing Roger Waters live twice now, it's no questions asked Pink Floyd.
Also got to see Tool this year, and that was awesome. But still PF

I think both are amazing bands. And both great to trip to. But it's gotta be Pink Floyd if I have to chose. Also try The United States of America, they only did one album, but it's a super trippy album. Like the song The Garden of Earthly Delights.

Who? Me. Although I do love your Grateful Dead suggestion. I think I'll try Anthem Of The Sun.

Anyone who has ever listened to Atom Heart Mother Suite, on a blazing full moon night, while tripping on acid and walking through a gently sloping cow pasture by way of cowpaths bordering an old-growth forest harboring countless caves knows that the Floyd were onto something! or did I mean on something?!

Floyd without a doubt, especially their early stuff. Listened to the Doors on acid years ago and his constant obsession with death gave me a bad trip. Mind you, the episode of the Outer Limits that was on didn't help either

Of course, I like a little more active listening; older Rush.

After mixing high doses of cid and the movie The Wall I parallel too many manic thoughts with Pink Floyd compared to The Doors. Don't misunderstand, I dig Pink Floyd but The Doors just ring a more posi vibe for me.
