What downloading program do you use?
    #1144511 - 12/16/02 03:41 AM (21 years, 3 months ago)

I have been using kazaa but was wondering what everyone else uses. I do not like kazaa but do not want to get another program that is just as horrible. What is the suggested downloading program?

Thanks for any info

User Exists.

Blubster and kazaa. I think blubster has some huge potential, its exactly like napster. Just music, simple interface. More people just need to find out about Blubster and it will be huge.

depends on what you're looking to download.

Thanks for all the replies. I am mostly interested in downloading software programs, but video and audio also. Is one program really better than another for each type of media that you choose to download?

Merry Christmas!

Kazaa sucks... take a few extra minutes to learn how to use DC++ and you'll never have trouble finding files again.

Peace,

Kazaa is one of the best. iMesh sucks dick compared to it.
Soulseek is OK is you're just looking for MP3s.
DirectConnect is by far the best network, but the program works like it was programmed by a retarded dyslexic.

Use an IRC program like mIRC, its harder to find older stuff, but you can find brand new full albums, movies, and software pretty easily

Try kazaa lite. It has no ads or spyware, less buggy also.

Kazaa lite.

Direct Connect is by far the best peer to peer software ever.   I hate my network for firewalling it.  F-ing BASTARDS!
Kazaa is allright i guess if you like viruses and incomplete junk.  Direct Connect or DC++ as said above allows you to connect to 'hubs' where usually around 500-1000 people share a set GB of stuff.  I've always found whole CD's Games and everything with no trouble whatsoever.  Most users are high speed as well.
