Cold Shocking???

I just want to get peoples opinions/results from cold shocking their cakes/casings. Is it a better idea to cold shock ur casings everytime, or just put them in the terrarium?

I don't dunk or cold shock my casings, but I dunk/cold shock my cakes between each flush, seems to help.

My friend cold shocks and dunks before he places his cakes into the growing chamber. He noticed the cakes that weren't dunked and cold shocked both took longer, and were not as big......
