Hi all,
I'm new here - and new to growing so please excuse my ignorance. I'm going to be following this tek: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/2589172 - However, I have no idea what Tyvek is, does anyone know where i can get this in the UK please?
Thanks!

Thanks for the response. In the tek i'll be using it shows a pic of the jars with what appears to be a vent of some kind on it - Can anyone tell me what material was used there?
Thanks

The author of the tek calls it 'tyvec' but search engines will find it better as 'Tyvek' with a 'k'.

You could probably find it at a home building supply place, like HOME DEPOT over here (whaddaya got over there?)
Also, some courier companies use Tyvek envelopes, as they are both breathable and waterproof, you could check around- it looks like paper but you can't tear it, very strong.
I use it exclusively for my edible grows here in Canada, it's good stuff. You won't have to buy and/or find very much to go a long way.
Good luck, mate!!

I wrote UK grower in the title hoping other UK growers would read it and point me in the direction of a suitable UK store.
Thank you for the reply mrEdude

Because most people on here are from the US and stating they are from the UK to me infers they have a specific problem trying to follow US instructions, like different brand names. It alerts people who might otherwise pass over it. Like there is no Karo in the UK or lysol (brand), people are not used to measuring in cups and canning is certainly not popular. A gallon is a different size, there are no AA PC's on sale etc.
You should be able to get tyvek coveralls in the likes of B&Q, I think they do actually use that brand name. I bought proper synthetic filter discs, I expect one of the sponsors sell them, place I got them is long shut down.

^^^ yep, international growers have some interesting challenges. I think PC+jars is the toughest for most people.
