Greenhouse Humidity Timer Q
    #11419813 - 11/09/09 05:31 PM (8 years, 8 months ago)

I’ve heard that a 3 minute on and 15 minutes off cycle of a humidifier (Cool mist) is best but the timer I have can only run in 15 minute intervals.
(I currently have it set for 15 minutes on and 1.5 hours off.)

I just got a 4 level greenhouse and I wonder if this will work.

So my questions is, will this work for the new greenhouse and if not what should I set it to?
Or do I need a different timer and if so can you point me to one?

Thanks!

Its not really about the timing. Whats important is keeping the humidity to where you want it. It doesnt matter if it runs all day, or for a few minutes a day, as long as the RH is right. Do you have a reader in there?

I have a humidity gauge but I haven't set up the new chamber yet.
I've been using a shotgun so far.

One concern is to much water dripping to the bottom.

Our sponsor RVF has cycle timers at the bottom of this page on their website.

this might help

http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/11241796

i have been using it for a few flushes

i just added another one to control the heater. so i can now get a reading of the temp and wet/humidity level at a glance. all i do now is pick mush and fill the water. and the water lasts a lot longer than when i had the timer cuz it only cuts on when its needed and rh / temp stay steady real steady.
