But I can't tell, or it wouldn't be a secret anymore.

You can tell just us!

But if it wasn't a 'secret', then what value would it have?

if you really discovered it .. it would be no problem at all to share with the rest. they wouldn't understand it any way, until they discover it for themselves.
-------------------- --------------------- All my posts in this forum are strictly fictional. They are derived from an acute mental illness , from which i am forced to lie compulsively. I have never induced any kind of mind altering substance in my life and i have no intentions whatsoever of doing anything illegal. If I have ever suggested such a thing it would have most likely been , due to my personality disorder and i probably do not remember it at all..

Why would it being a secret or not increase or decrease its actual value?

Right. It's just like advice. It's golden when it's being given, but rarely is it ever recieved.

It's a matter of truth. Truth on a personal level.
There's understanding, believing, knowing, and truth.
If you smoke cigarettes, and you decide you would like to quit, then it is likely you will not quit until you discover the truth.
You understand that smoking causes illness. You may or may not believe that will happen to you. Yet you know that eventually, smoking will degrade your health. Depending on your stance of belife, The statement "smoking is bad for my health" may or may not be truth to you. Until it is truth, it is likely that you will not stop smoking.

Some things are "more" secret than others; this is what I meant by it being a matter of degree.
What do you mean by "Truth on a personal level."?

The truth about what, being addicted?

The truth exists regardless of whether or not some random primate is aware of it...

Truth is little more than fact unless it's personally true to you.

simply the truth.

Nothing exists unless it is percieved to.
