but can colonized millet be used to spawn stait coir. or does it need more nutrients.

To spawn, you need to mix a colonized substrate (in this case the millet) to an uncolonized substrate, which coir can't be, because it is not nutrious.

You can Case Millet with straight Coir, and get some pretty potent mushies.

No, you'd case millet with coir, which is not spawn, but a casing layer. :smile: But yes its possible.
