do i put say 1cc in a quart mason jar? then let it 30% colonize then break that up into the pan full of coir/coffee/verm?

HELL NO! Wait till your grain is 100 percent colonized before you spawn it to your bulk. I just recently tried my first straw monotub. You can SHAKE the jar at 30 percent colonization to spread the colonized grain around the jar creating innoc points all over it speeding up colonization.

I soaked straw in hot soapy water for two hours then pasteurized in lime water for 1.5 hours. It colonized well but then i cased it and it ended up getting trich. Im redoing now but im going to say fuck the casing this time im pretty sure the trich came from casing i used too long after pasteurization.

Legalize it? Fuck that I'd have to get a job!

http://www.shroomery.org/forums/search.php use that and type in "what is pasteurization"

Then once you understand what that is and you have the basic terminology down... go here >> http://www.shroomery.org/22/Bulk-Substrates

And read about bulk substrates and such.... Your welcome, someone else did the "search" for you.

:hi:**If you have any spare spore prints lying around, and your feeling 'giving' drop me a PM** :dancer:
