 went hunting this weekend

for wild boar with muzzle loaders. i had never been and was invited to go with a family friend of Laskas. Hes an 80 year old dutch indonesian that was on sumatra when the japanese took over. It getting to the point he doesnt even get out of the car anymore just looks for animals from the truck. I still learned alot, he showed e how to find the tracks, the best times to look, how to find their wallows and rootings, showed me around the hunting areas. I shot a real gun for the first time, a 22 MP5, a 32 revolver from 1900, and a 45 desert eagle. imma get a rifle now 
all in all i learned a lot also the area looks like it will be covered in chants in a few weeks.

it was way cool. we didnt even see any pigs, just tracks where they were. he ended up getting a rabbit like after 5 minutes. it wasnt even light yet. he got it with the headlights. lol.

theres good fossil hunting out there too. we walked around for a bit, found some cool pieces, and i saw the biggest black widow ever living in the compressed sand on this ledge, gave me the willies.

i had a great time too!
When shooting the dessert eagle, after the first shell flew out it cut me on my forhead. The rest just flew by.
But it was great all around.
I found a couple almost complete and complete fossils, thinking about the fact that im the first human being to ever touch those fossils (since i dung them out of the ground) is crazy and that they were alive/ living shells and sea life during the dinosaur period is cool to me.

if you get a rifael do not go to old west gun room in el cerito that guy is a dick and over priced go up to vacavill to guns fishing and other stuff great place huge inventory and a pistol range that rents guns to try b4 u buy
good to see other people intrested in hunting on this board i love hunting im looking to get a bow for next year good luck and be safe make sure you take a hunter safty course its not only the law it just plain smart.

the guy we went with is very good friends with the guy that owns wild west. Thats prolly where ill go but id get a good deal.
im going to take a course, i never really had an intrest in guns till i shot one and went hunting, lol.
The people we went with were hunting deer with bows. they lost a buck it got away bleeding then they tracked it, found it, and walked up to it and it jumped up and ran.  they couldnt believe it, it lost a ton of blood.

I am so jealous. I had to miss deer camp this year because of my schoolings. Probably wont make it for another 3 years either.
Thats honestly the time i look forward to most in my year. God i miss it.

the guy that owns old west is my friends unckle and he is still a dick to him i been goin there since i was a kid with my old man and he is still a dick but i guess it is his shop and he can be a dick if he wants to heard him laughin bout the guy he killed a couple years ago last time i was ther. hope he hooks you up .where u go for pig privat land or public ?? a few good public spots in lake county as well as lake sonoma good hunting

yeah my girl had a few roost in the eucalyptus behind their house for a while.

i also shot a bolt action 22 mag. that was my favorite.
