Cobweb is gray. When it first shows up, it looks like it may be mycelium, but its young and still kinda white. After a few days, however, it turns a dirty gray. Once you've seen cobweb up close and personal, you won't mistake it for mycelium.

Cobweb is very fine and is not a mycelium - myclium is definitely fiberous and actually looks like a wire cut open, if you ask me. Cobweb is very fine and also not bright white like most mycelium is. It also smells sour and like dungy socks.
