Black Specks in Liquid Culture???

Is it normal to have black specks in the newly forming strands of mycelium in liquid culture? My LC is only a few days old and there are a lot of strands of mycelium forming, but it seems there is a dark speck at the center of some of the strands. Is that most likely contamination or is it normal?

Hi. did you mix spore print into liquid solution? If you did then this is probably just ungerminated spores and this is cool. I'd just try shoot up a couple of jars and check for contams. keep LC in fridge for a month while you check. hope this helps
