commercial mushroom manure

My friends dad works at a farm where they grow edible mushrooms. I was talking to him about how they grow the mushrooms and he mentioned that they use a type of pasteurized dung compost. I think he said it was made from hay,cow manure, chicken manure and oyster shell(as well as gypsum I think). I was wondering if this stuff would work well for growing cubensis mushrooms. I was hoping it will work just as good as some of the compost mixes you can buy on the different spore suppliers websites. My friends Dad said I could have as much as I wanted too! :

Which websites? I think it'll work because it's not that spent mushroom soil/compost crap that the hardware stores sell.

Many spore providers like The hawks eye and Captain max sell mushroom compost. I think it will work too because its not "mushroom manure" that you buy in the store this stuff has not yet been used to grow mushrooms. You can have some if you drive to my house and pick it up

Dry it thoroughly to cut down on shipping costs.
The business model of ready to innoculate, properly moistened and pasteurized compost by mail has failed miserably in almost every attempt. Seriously, get the stuff, dry it thoroughly and sell it by the 5 pound bag.

PM me with any cultivation questions.
I just looked at my profile and realized I had a website at one point in time on geocities, it's not there anymore and I have no idea what I had on it. Anybody remember my website from several years aga? PM if so please.
