What do you guys think?

Heres a conversation that was started in the pub, but didn't get very far, so i thought i'd bring it over here for maybe a bit more discussion. But it went something like this....

Excuse me for interceding.. But that sounds like quite an oxymoron to me!
it may sound like an oxymoron now, but it actually is stronger than the best weapon out there even nuclear bombs
I like where you headed with that one, and thats what id would like to think is the truth. At the very least i try and live my life by those very principals. But in all actuality, is that the truth? Id LOVE to believe so..
But for sake of discussion/discovering ultimate truth, is that the way things work? Does positive energy supersede the negative? In one on one, person to person, id like to think that it does.
But on a larger scale, is that what's actually happening? Are the good guys winning? I'd love to say yes...but recent history is showing that is isn't. But there is still time for the positive to fully take hold, we havent lost yet. I don't want to be a casualty of Greed/Power Hunger/Financial Motivation/ or the want for Global Domination.
Lets hope the positive wins~ Keep Spreading the Love People!~

Fairy Tales / Heroic Stories / Religion....All things (works of fiction) designed to instill morals and values in people, a way to give the hopeless hope, and a way to get people to do the right thing. Not to say thats a bad thing, because it isnt. It (Religion) has just become corrupt over time.
But I Very much hope your right, and thats what i try n believe.
Im just being objective... things are just really fucked right now, and id hate to see things continue down that path..
But is it not so much that postive outweighs the negative, but that the majority rules
If there are more negatives, will they inevitably affect the positive (think philosophically and scientifically)
Therefore we cant sit back and assume things will just "work out", action needs to be implemented. People need shown the light..The positive do'ers have to out-do the negative, if you will.
We have to be the change we want to see, it will not just come. For better or for worse.
This is a good thing though....We all have the control to change our future, if just one good deed at a time:)
Peace Yall ~~

Most people are very unrealistic about who they are and what motivates them.
Some say they are all about love but when you look at the minutia of their lives it can look very different.
Love is only part of the equation.
Entropy.

Even if selfishness and malice will eventually beat out compassion, I'd still try to support the good.

I support what feels best. Love and compassion feel best. It's so strange that I don't do it more often.

"if you want others to be happy ... practice compassion. if you want to be happy ... practice compassion" - dalai lama
compassion and wisdom are intricately linked... the benefits of being compassionate and practicing equanimity with all beings far outweighs just the readily apparent positive effect of the action on the other person
which will win? compassion has already won, it's just a matter of how many people win with it

I think it's also important to practice a sport. And maybe a musical instrument. And some intellectual studies.
It's important to be well rounded.

I find sport in the bloody beheadings of those who challenge me and in the lamentations of their raped women.

Absolutely True...I Dig it..
I guess the question i propose is if infact it is winning? By majority that is.. for the untmate benefit of EVERYONE.
Is it a question any of us can answer? I hope so..with a yes.
Or is it something we all await the future turn of events to tell?
It might just be up to major world leaders so decide...Sadly. Then we will be faced with the utimate test...of what to do next, what to do and how to act in times of turmoil and dispair. How we react when the world is crumbling financially and physically....
But lets all pray with our cosmic/ karmic energies and good deeds...Lets help stop hate and greed before it just may be too late...(well it's never too late)...but rather when things have sunk too low..
Again...As we have all pointed out....Lets be the change we want and need to see
PAY IT FORWARD......
ONE LOVE!~

win/loss good/bad ^ all subjective constructs.
reality just is. the meaning is subjectively given. so, i do this as well:
