Why not make a response to what I said in total instead of a measly attempt to deflect it.

What, you want me to think?
OK. So I meet a young adult male at the gym and I show him my letters of recommendation and my wall of trophies and give him a business card to induce him into taking racquetball lessons.
He calls the people on the letters and they speak highly of me.
(Substitute martial arts lesson, mountain climbing lessons etc.)
He is a neophyte and is impressed. He TRUSTS me to impart knowledege that he does not have. I am the temporary authority and leader in this arena.
I teach him horrible form. Along the way he complains of pain and I tell him this is normal and that his body will adapt if he toughs it out. I have him overswinging and overrotating so that he eventually ruptures a disk as well as developing tennis elbow and tearing his rotator cuff
He did his due diligence so where does the student's responsibility lie?
Remember that for a person to learn, they must assume the subservient role.

With his cynical, skeptical attitude
JasonVira, you just don't seem to be getting it.
In this forum, we leave the people we're debating out of the debate. Stick to the topic and leave people out. The TOPIC, not the people.
This is your last warning.

Case closed.
Aren't ships considered to be female? Wouldn't it have been correct if you had said "..the lives of her passengers..." instead?
Either way, that is some pretty flawed logic, IMO.

What's so bad about being "friendless and alone"?
I think it kicks ass!

We all go through this phase and some never leave it. I studied really crappy martial arts for years. In the wild you can be dinner at any moment. Why complain? If you're lucky you get smart and survive. But nature weeds out the weak. That needs to happen more often in our world.
There's no simple answer. It's survival of the fittest.

Very weak answer. I am glad I took the time to respond to your question.
Everybody should do whatever they want to anybody and let the chips fall where they may. There is no onus on any leader: CEO, general or whomever...
Great!

What about this post? OC is stating that another member has a "Very weak answer". He's putting down another member.
STICK TO THE TOPIC, right? Stop criticizing the members, right?
How the hell am I supposed to know when it's okay to criticize another member or not? Please explain it to me.
Thanks

Are you serious? I thought you have been a member of other forums? You made it sound like you've been around.
He didn't criticize me. He criticized my ideas which is what debate is all about.

If you're unable to control your behavior, then post in the Off Topic Discussion forum, not here. That's what OTD is for.

He criticized you for having a weak answer. I don't see how this is different than my criticizing OC for being cynical and skeptical.
Please explain it to me.

No. He criticized the answer, not the person. Ideas are fair game here. People are not.
If you think an idea is cynical, say so. Leave the person out of it. This works because both cynical and non-cynical people can make cynical statements.
Attack the idea being presented, not the person.

I just want to understand the criteria.
OC can state that someone has a "weak answer", but I cannot state that OC is cynical and skeptical, right?
