Fungus in my jars dying

Im having a problem with my Equador fungus drying up a week after inoculation in my 1/2 pint jars. I use 1/2 cup of vermiculite, 1/4 cup of brown rice flower, and 1/4 cup brown rice flower for each jar, then steam boil it using a light boil. The white fugus in my jar is pretty thin and always stays that way before turning brown and drying up and it never thicks up to a thick white cotton look. It still smells nice and theres no contamination. Is the sryinge solution bad or what or can anyone give me some tips. I get my spores from Hawks Eye

I can't say exactly what the problem is, but I don't think you have to worry about the spores. If they begin to grow, that is to say if you see mycelium, they are good. Anything after that is caused by environment. Plus, if you got them from T.H.E. then you shouldn't have to worry about it anyway. How humid is it where you are incubating? If you're at something like 0% rH then that would probably be a problem. Also, it could be a problem that you're using 1/2 cup verm and 1/2 cup BRF, with no water (haha, just a joke, couldn't resist). But anyway, I don't really know what's wrong, I just thought I'd point out something as obvious as humidity just in case you overlooked it.

-edit- BTW, I'm just a newbie. I'm sure someone more experienced can pinpoint your problem, however, they may need supplemental information.

Well i keep my jars in a dark place in my room just under 70F and as for the humidity i think its okay cause there is a build up of water droplets inside the jars. My brother told me to use 2/3 vermiculite instead of 1/2 cup so the substrate in my jars will be able to hold more water. Guess ill have to order another Equador syringe and try again since im all out of spore solution and all 10 of my jars dryed up as well

you don't have to worry about the humidity while incubating.
your temp should be about 82-84 degrees.
just under 70 is to cold to promote mycelium growth. if i were you, id build an inexpensive incubating chamber. you can for like 11 bux
when you steam bath your jars, do you let the jars sit on the bottom of the pot? (if so, just fold a kitchen towel and place it on the bottom) if so you could be evaporating the moisture out .

You don't need any humidity during incubation. The jars are sealed, What difference is the outside environment gonna make on the inside of the jars? This is more or less a problem you're gonna have to figure out on your own. Make sure you use enough water when making the Substrate and make sure your jars are sealed tight enough so the moisture inside can't escape. Building an incubator would be a good idea so you can keep them at 80-85 degrees.

Your temperature is a bit too low for the incubation stage. For best results, try to get it into the low 80's.

I am also stumped, but let me have a go anyway. Did you...
put it on a heat pad?
keep them in a really really dry place? (despite comments above, if your jar holes are big or the seal is loose, the jars could dry up - just imagine an opened jar of peanut butter..
try some funny tek involving half-filling the jars with something?
get a contamination that made the developing strands all 'go brown'?
put a dry verm layer on top, that all the jar's water somehow wicked-up into?
fill the jars halfway, then mix a new lot with different flour to fill up the top halves? the first lot coulda had preservatives in it?
forget to put any water in at all?

did you clean your jars out properly?
actually, it probably was the simplest one suggested above - not warm enough. They may not be dead, just stalled. You could try adding sterile water, and putting them somewhere warmer for a week.
