yes it is for food but it's rather thick like molasses or motor oil... i would figured that someone would have gotten hold of the same types of drums?....then figuring out how to use the leftover lecithin....like maybe thinned with water then mix into bulk or something?

i know that it's used as an emulsifier = making dissimilar substances blend but other than that?? i figured someone on the forum would be familiar with its' usefulness? anyway i ll do more research on the item.thx Imorph

Concerning soy lecithin the following is a small brief excerpt of its' description and uses, gleaned from the web.

"
Lecithin is a fat that is essential in the cells of the body. It can be found in many foods, including soybeans and egg yolks.

It used as a  skin as a moisturizer  and has multiple purposes as a medicine.
You will often see lecithin as a food additive. It is used to keep certain ingredients from separating out."

If i came remember correctly some oils in the right amounts are beneficial to some substrate growth.
So if i can find the correct amount i can use it as a supplement ?  Ok a little experimentation may be called for. Imorph

It has some use nutritionally - it is one thing used to form cell walls, and it is also split into choline (a methyl donor and precursor of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine). Modest doses may help some diseases, but consuming too much leads to a fishy body odor.
