Need ID for PNW hunt

Ok I think the Mushroom gods where finally smiling on me this morning! :laugh:

Ive been getting so frustrated at seeing all the active finds around the Seattle area and going out everyday and not finds zip.
Then today, not 25 yrds from where I walk everyday..My dog chased a squirrel taking me down a slightly different path back to my car..and
Boomshanka!!

Habitat: Wood mulch in shaded area

Gills: Darker tan

Stem: Whitish, Firm, Bluish coloring.

Cap: Caramel

Spore print color: Still working on it

Bruising: Very blue in most cases.

Location: PNW

Grew up on Sumner beach in Canterbury..
Been living in the Seattle area for the last 15 yrs..
the PNW area is the closest thing Ive found to living back on the South Island.. :thumbup:

I know he's in the PNW but his name Kiwi-rebel refers to NZ, a Kiwi is a flightless bird that is endemic to New Zealand and many New Zealanders refer to themselves as Kiwi people!

Yeah..prolly when the wife and I decide to retire..Have a daughter that just started Uni over here and a teenage son. So will hang out in the PNW for a wee while yet..I get home every couple of years, so its all good. I would like my own place in both countries, then I would never see another winter again.. :grin:

It is very beautiful here if you take the time to look around, it is supposedly very similar to Switzerland!
