Pulled substrate out of dark too early????????
    #11397421 - 11/06/09 01:40 PM (8 years, 17 days ago)

ok here is my question: I have 4 big trays done with brf cakes and hpoo substarte, all were in the dark colonizing, they all looked ready but 2 of them were put in the dark a few days after the other 2. but I took all out at once. The first 2 trays started to knott and pinn right away and the next 2 (the late ones) have not shown any knotting and pinning yet and it's been days. The first trays are starting grow. Should I put the 2 second trays back into the dark and let colonize more or just leave them how they are. If pics are needed just tell me and I'll post some pics. Any Help would be much appreciated. Only second grow.

Total dark is unnecessary.. the other ones are probably still colonizing the center of the sub, if your saying the visible portions look colonized.. maybe. I would probably just leave it. Pics always help.

also.. if those are straight substrate materials... they weren't fully colonized. And, you can see the last two are less colonized then the first two.. it will pin when it's ready to. I see a good flush in your future BTW

most likely they werent done consolidating cuz the whole dark thing is old outdated info.

circadian rhythm

I colonize jars and everything out in the open on a 12on/12off lighting cycle 24/7.
