electric PC help

So i got to finally use a pc, its electic, should i use the steam release valve when its done, or just let it sit and cool down, dont really want boiling water to spurt out all over

Let it cool naturally to room temp before you release anything. (Is my opinion.)

let it cool naturaly for a while, like untill you can touch it with out burning yourself. if you open whil hot the pressure change will force unsterile air into your jars.

I usually wait an hour or two after I turn off the flame. :sun:

Steam release valve won't really spill water out. What you want to look for is where the steam is headed when you hit the valve. I have an AA (non electric) and i just take the weight off if i need to depressurize quickly. If your electric does not have a steam release that points straight up just be careful (some shoot out 360 degrees and your hand/arm might be in the way). It just depends on your make/model. What kind you got? I'm guessing AA since i don't know too many other electric ones flaotin around.
