consensus on "The Lemon Experience"

I read through about the first 8 posts of The Lemon Experience, as well as the last few.  The thread is 4 years old and 56 pages. 

Rather than wading through the entire thing, I figured I would ask what the current consensus is on the effects of lemon juice on potentiating the psilocybin. 

Is it agreed upon that the acidity helps the psilocybin convert into psilocin? Or is it the flavinoids? By what factor is it agreed upon that the lemon juice increases the intensity of the trip?

I have searched for the topic, but it seems like most of the threads just have one or two people giving their new opinions and experiences.  I am looking for consensus.

I apologize if this question has been asked before.

kinda over rated IMO, but i have done it alot

but its not a must, the shrooms do the magic alone

I agree as well. I've only done it once (last night actually!) and it was entirely more intense, but it made me feel panicky. Probably because even though I was expecting the shift in intensity, my brain still wasn't ready for it! Kind of kills the mellow part of shrooms for me.

I've never tried this. Does it apply the same way as the lemon tek? Grind the shrooms to dust and then let it sit in OJ for a bit?

I've done them both ways many, many times. I started using lemon or lime to mask the flavor without knowing that it had any effects. In retrospect, I'd have to say that some of my most intense trips have been without the lemon. Weird.

Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't. Personally, I've never noticed the difference.  :ohwell:

It's not just the lemon/lime... it's TIME.

If you just put them in lemon juice and shoot it, it's not really different. It's when you soak them, and let the acidity work on it for a bit.... I think. :shrug:

Yeah, I've often let them sit for about 20 minutes in the lemon juice. It makes the come-up faster, but so does just grinding the shrooms. Seems to work for a lot of people, though, so experiment on yourself I guess. :smile:

i doesnt have to be lemon juice, it can be anything acidic

lemon juice is just one the highest levels

i have ground shrooms into plane water before, just easier to consume for me
