Is this a veil breaking? 1

This is my first grow and I'm not sure if this is the veil breaking or the cap just becoming more pronounced in shape. It is only about an inch long and I think the reason it is so small is because I didn't allow it enough dark hours.

No the veil is the thin white part under the cap. It will be easy to spot when it tears.
Nice mushroom btw, looks like a hefty one.

Wow! thanks so much for the speedy responses! So when they say to harvest just as the veil is breaking they mean once the gills are exposed? or once the leftover piece of the veil under the cap that looks like a washer going around the stem begins to tear??? I am confused by this part and know I have to get it right. Because this seems to me to be the beginning of the gills being exposed, no? It would suck if this is as big as it got, it is sooooo tiny!

You got it.
Once you see the veil tear, the gills will be visible. Some even prefer to let it grow a little longer after the veil breaks.

God I sound dense but I'm still confused
I am not wording myself well enough I feel and I have never got to see mushrooms grow before please pardon my ignorance. This is the only pin so far that the edge of the cap is tearing away from the stem, so when that happens the gills will be exposed right? Or does the cap always tear away first reveiling the veil, which then will tear away and reveal the gills. This thing is so tiny I don't think I can see gills under that tear. I suffer from the typical newb lack of patience Thanks for sticking with me Breakfast Crew!

it looks like the begining of a nice boomer.
let it grow until it is mature. you will know what the veil breaking is soon.
observe and then celebrate.
have fun

Alright so I have had some blueing on the myc that I thought was the normal from low RH or handling (though I haven't handled them really and the RH has been pretty good though at times dropping to about 85%). I have seen it for about 2 days but it was only in small spots and it never got worse. Now it seems to be getting worse. I rubbed a Q-tip on one of the spots and it didn't rub off but it made the spot appear worse after a couple hours passed. So is this probably the bruising people talk about. It seems to be getting worse and I am wondering if I am doing something wrong or if it really is a contam? The pic outlines the spot where I rubbed the Q-tip, you can see how it is bluer than the rest. Please somebody tell me this is the normal blueing and what I can do to prevent it if it is a bad thing.
