Is there really any other way to put it?

OK maybe I should put it this way - precisely what is human about privacy?
1. For instance, to what seems up to this point to be only established as a "synthetic" disclosure, why should anyone have privacy? Why should you be afraid to have your "reality uncovered", unless you have something illegitimate to hide?
2. Or to root the same issue out in its compound "belief"; is the same incentive only rejected due to these beliefs not "standing up" to empiricism?

Finally.
I agree. But we are not healthy in mind and so must hide that from each other, believing our imperfections are only common to ourselves.

Everyone would probably hate me if they could read my mind. Some pretty damn neurotic shit goes down in here.

I don't trust most enough to spill myself to them anyway and I wouldn't want to but I am quite closed, there are maybe 1 or 2 people I would share almost everything with. Still a lot of stuff I would be embarrased to share with those two but as Ice says I am no superman.

rebus_minus said: my philosophy is to stop hiding. privacy and territorial boundaries will be a thing of the past. so i say throw it all out on display. lose shame and be as you are for everyone to see. what is there to be ashamed of? let whoever wants to put you down do as they wilt. they are only maintaining their own limits.
if you don't have anything to hide, your mind is more wholesome. eventually no-one will be able to use your limits against you.
It's not about having something to be ashamed of, but rather just the unpleasantness of having to expose your entire self to people you don't want to deal with. I am not a very social person and I feel the best when I am on my own or with my love, or with a few select close friends. I don't owe my life to anyone and I don't have the slightest interest on what's going on in other people's lives, and even if these stories would have been offered to me for free, I wouldn't want to find them out.

That too, although I would be embarrassed to tell some people certain things.

We all I think have some pretty twisted thoughts and fantasies and habits. We think that makes us weird. But it makes us normally weird. It's also normal to feel embarrassed from time to time.
