Hey fellow shroomerites and shroomerettes.
I'm about to embark on an adventure on my own with absolutely nothing.
I'm currently living in Tennessee with some of my family. I moved here from Florida, which is where I've always felt I need to be. I've no job, license, car or schooling outside of highschool, but I'm about to tackle the shitty economy Florida has to offer on my own. I'll be living out of a backpack for the most part when I go, but I truly believe this is what needs to be done. I've never had to truly fend for myself for anything before. I've always had someone to help me along. As a procrastinator I've come to learn that the only way I can get things done is to jump right into them. I'm almost 20 years old and I'm tired of feeling like a bum who's mooching off of my parents and other family. It's time to take on this mountain with my bare fists.
Enough ranting. I just felt the need to put this out there somewhere.
I'll be chronicling my journey as best as I can on here when I return to Florida. Wish me luck.

Right now I'm about twenty minutes outside of Knoxville in Louisville. I'm headed about fourty minutes outside of Orlando to Geneva.
I've got a friend coming up for Christmas and I'm going back down with him.

im not sure where geneva is but i live 40 min form orlando in zephyrhills. its also like 40 min from tampa.

I've roamed thru Zephyr before. Geneva is inbetween Sanford and Oviedo if either of those ring a bell.

Thank you. I'm just looking at getting a job that is within a reasonable walking/cycling distance until I can get my license and a vehicle...just something to get me to my next level. Whatever the work entails is not of an issue with me.

Luckily I've got two of the best friends anyone can ask for. I've got a place to stay with one of them. She's in a four bedroom house by herself and has until February to start paying rent. She knows the people who own the house on a very personal level (They've been friends of her family for quite some time.) and they're gracious enought to at least put a roof over our heads. But again I'll be living mostly out of my backpack because I don't want to get the feeling like I'm leeching off anyone. So I'll mainly only be there for somewhere to rest my head and do my laundry.

Aha, knoxville, fun town. I'm about 30 minutes outside Memphis, and my little bro is renting a house in Murfreesboro right now. I'm quite fond of Tennessee though... Especially you're side. Just wish it was warmer in the winter...

Yeah. From what I've been able to get out and see/do it seems like a pretty nifty place. The winter doesn't really bother me too much I'm originally from Indiana and I was there the past two winters. Personally I'm a fan of the cold.

Im from Ontario and I HATE the cold. But that could be cause our summers are only 3 months long tops.

True that. It would be a bummer. You'd like florida. Winter's are only really a month to two months tops. The rest of the time is one huge summer.

indeed, and your their winters are like our summers. I went to florida last winter to boca raton, loved it. Even if the only people in the town were rich old folks.

There are thousands of areas in Florida like that. It's a really neat place outside of the tourist/lovebug/hurricane seasons.
