Honey Mushrooms
    #11389473 - 11/05/09 09:51 AM (8 years, 15 days ago)

Habitat:
Surrounding the perimeter of a dead tree and growing directly from it.

Gills:
range from cream when young to a deeper honey when mature, some gills shorter than others

Stem:
1-4 inches, hollow, fibrous

Cap:
varries in size, honey colored with minute white splotches

Spore print color:
TBD

Bruising:
bruises green to bluegreen.

Other information:
smells kinda like ammonia or store bought preserved food.
Mammals I think and insects had been eating these.

My guess is perhaps Gymnopilus or Armillariella

There is a difference between mushrooms bruising green and mushrooms that just have green shit on them.
