How Do I Prepare Amanitas Fresh

So i finally found and picked some amanitas.....i had to drive to the beach....and i have them drying on a fan blowing air up on them.....should i peel the red skin, discard stems, or scrape the dots off...or could i just dry them and eat them normal like cubes?....if not how would i make a tea?....im lookin forward to Soma

You need to let them stay dried for couple of months, otherwise your stomach will be upside down. :scat: After that you can eat or make tea or however you like, just as cubes.

You don't need anything except the caps. If you don't want to eat anything "extra", you can also scrap the gills away. Everything you are looking for is just under the red stuff. But of course there's no problem eating everything if you want.

Saute in oil or butter.

Unless you cook them, you have to dry them.
You can cook them when they are fresh though.

That was a new but very useful information for me, thx. I've never even thought of cooking, maybe because don't cook cubes either. Silly me :blush:.
