tiny mushrooms vs larger ones
    #11388082 - 11/05/09 12:17 AM (8 years, 1 month ago)

As with using the PF style cakes as a grow medium, I have many relatively small mushrooms. Now that these mushrooms are dry and have lost about 90% of their original weight... I am left with quite a bit of very tiny mushrooms. I am wondering if there is a difference in potency in small mushrooms vs larger ones. If I was to take 3.5 grams of large mushrooms, would the dosage be equal to that of 3.5 grams of very small mushrooms?

i ate 4.5 grams of these today, wet, NOT dry. that would have dried down to .3 or .4 gram. i had an intense body high and slight introspective thoughts. if i ate 3.5 grams id be goin crazy.. small mushrooms FTW.

same. psilocybin content is the same in small or large fruits. but i always seem to get more high of the big mothers.

Thats what I figured... as long as you're eating 3.5 grams (for instance), you're going to trip whether the shrooms are small or larger. I have read that some of the actives are lost in the drying process so I guess my question is this: is there a point where a dried mushroom is so small that it may somehow not retain any substantial potency?

NO ! !
tiny dry mushrooms = potent.

they dry fast so the retain MORE of their actives..

oxidation is what kills the actives

Although i may advise others in a general way regarding all types of mushroom grows, and may even post question from other forums about growing "active" mushrooms, i only grow non-"active" mushrooms and edibles.

maybe the reason I didn't trip as hard as I thought I would was not because I was eating small fruits but because they were B+

B+ is amazing done right. all potency fluctuates if you do not isolate a good potent fruit body. its not B+ or any other strain that is weak it is the cultivator not taking the time to work with the strain

I love B+ and I have had some great trips with its fruits. Every once in a while I will have a weak trip. I read on the forums here that B+ has a reputation for producing inconsistencies in potency from flush to flush.
